Things found on the beach

Along with finding the regular variety of cool rocks and beach glass there's always something new to explore at the beach, more recently a huge fish washed up, that my son just couldn't stop talking about...apparently it was interesting to adults as well, everyone that walked past it had to stop and look at it for awhile (and some just had to poke it with a stick for some reason!)....people watching is always fun too! more recently I found what I think is some sort of fossil, check out the picture looks like a spine/tail to me, I'll keep my eyes peeled for a skull then I'll know for sure!

Everybody says hello at the cottage

Our small family moved to “cottage country” in 2008. We decided (my fiance and I) that we wanted to live close to the beach, and found the cutest little cottage, a place where we can hear the waves crashing when we open the windows, and nature abounds. The funny thing about living out here is that people are just SO friendly. I don't know why, I guess because it's cottage country...everywhere we go people have this odd compulsion to wave hello....people just don't do that in the city.
